About This Release

Recorded at The Chateau and Hansa By The Wall.
Mixed At Hansa By The Wall.

Public Performance Clearance—BMI
Cover Photo from "The Man Who Fell To Earth," a Cinema 5 release.

℗ 1977 RCA Records

Issued with printed inner sleeve with credits.

Some copies included a 'David Bowie Official International Fan Club' flyer insert, a track list sticker on the rear cover, and/or a circular gold-foil 'Demonstration Not For Sale' stamp embossed on the rear cover.

This US edition is the original first edition of Low. All other issues worldwide derive from this edition.

The UK first edition has a cover that uses a modified version of the US cover - the catalogue present in the top RH front corner of the US cover has been masked over (artifacts are visible); the fan club insert of the UK edition uses a different font where catalogue numbers differ from the US numbers. The UK spine copies the US spine and adds additional information. The rear sticker (attached to the UK cover) has the titles Left Margined, whereas the remainder of the album artwork uses a Centred style (as seen on the front cover, insert and US sticker).

The current (9/2017) image of the US rear cover shows a shrink wrapper sticker that has been attached at a later date to the cover, sealed copies had the sticker positioned in the lower half, centred left to right.
