What to Expect

Before a Sale

When you're listing an item on Reverb LP, we’ll provide some default rates for media mail shipping if you’re in the US, and for other similar flat rate mailing outside the US. You can choose to override these defaults and set your own rates per type of media (i.e. vinyl, CD, cassette).

After a Sale

Shipping labels and shipping materials can be purchased on Reverb LP after you sell an item. Damage and signature insurance for the full value of the item are also available for purchase.

International Shipping

You can now purchase international shipping labels directly on Reverb LP. We’ve streamlined all the customs forms to make shipping around the world via USPS, DHL, and UPS a simple click-and-print process.

International labels are available on any item under $5,000 USD. As with all other shipping labels purchased through Reverb LP, your shipment is safeguarded through our Reverb LP Shipping Protection. If your package runs into any issues, simply contact our friendly support team and we’ll get your claim quickly processed.

Reverb Shipping Protection

Protect yourself if your package is lost or damaged during shipment. Buy with a Reverb LP Shipping Label for only a fraction of your record's sale price.

If your item is damaged or lost during shipment and you've purchased Reverb LP Shipping Protection with a Reverb LP Shipping Label, we'll cover the cost of repairs or reimburse you for the sale amount. Buying Shipping Protection is required when purchasing a Reverb LP shipping label for items with a sale price between $1,500 USD and $5,000 USD. Shipping Protection is not available for items with a sale price over $5,000.

Unlike carrier insurance, which usually takes phone calls and faxes or long forms, all claims can be done through Reverb LP’s simple online form. Deal directly with our responsive and friendly support team to get claims processed quickly.

  2. Reverb LP processes and approves claim
  3. Item is either repaired or returned
  4. Reverb LP pays out claim

Reverb Shipping Protection Terms

Damage claims must be submitted within 7 days of package delivery. Claims for lost packages cannot be filed within 15 days of shipment for UPS or within 30 days of shipment for USPS. Shipping Protection only applies during transit from your premises to the shipping destination. Claims are not applicable when loss or damage is a result of improper, inadequate, or unsafe packaging or wrapping, which shall be determined at Reverb LP’s sole discretion. Carrier Insurance

USPS and UPS insure items with declared values of up to $100 at no additional cost.

Carrier Insurance Claims Process

  1. Seller initiates claim with carrier
  2. Once the claim has been approved, the carrier picks up the item
  3. Seller issues a refund to the buyer
  4. Seller receives an insurance check
